great monitor!

I bought this monitor for my daughter when she was born 3 years ago. It worked so good that I bought the same one for my son a few weeks ago. I use both monitors daily (one in each child's room) to keep an ear on things. I love this product! Works great!

Battery Does not charge

I have tried to charge the battery. Yes I did follow the directions to every last specific detail. It does not charge. I have read several other reviews on other sites that reflect the same thing. Unfortunately, I read them after I bought the monitor. Im not even going to bother with yet another battery. Its just time to buy a different monitor.

    Great Price Great Item

    Well priced for an item that so many functions. Other monitors cost more an dont offer as much as the Graco. DH

    Best Monitor

    I bought Graco baby monitor five years ago with 2 parental units, it lasted for five years and then I bought another one, the quality is superb. I highly recommend this item.

    Not very loud

    This product has good clearity, but it is hard to hear anything. If you are doing common everyday tasks it is difficult to hear the monitor because it isn't loud enough. In my opinion it dosen't matter clear the sound is if you can't hear it.

    CHEAP AND BROKEN IN LESS THEN A WEEK!!

    This is my 4TH set this year. First the batteries died with in a month and we charged them correctly too... so we returned them for new ones. The second time the baby unit stopped turning on so we returned it for a new one again. The 3rd time the speaker blew and you couldnt hear anything out of it so we returned it AGAIN.. Now on our 4th set which I bought less then a week ago... the parent unit froze! It wont make any sound, it wont turn off and when i push the volume buttons it doesnt do anything! I even unplugged the battery and plugged it back in and its still not working. The other unit is fine so I know the baby unit is on and working. So here I am, 9 months pregnant with a 2 year old... having to pack up and go to walmart to return ...

    Great until we realized the major problem it cause

    This is by far the best sounding baby monitor on the market. That being said, for the last year we've been having HORRIBLE hair pulling wifi coverage inside our postage stamp sized town house. We've bought new routers, changed router placement a hundred times, then it donned on me... DIGITAL baby monitor.... I've turned off the nursery transmitter, and instantly there is a huge difference in wifi performance in our house... After all the calls to our ISP, the fighting, hundreds of dollars on new routers, and frustration, it all turned out to be the baby monitor. I wish I realized this sooner...

    Great, affordable monitor!

    We have used this monitor for over a year now and have not had one single problem in functionality or workability. You get clear sound & a light indicator of sound shoud you have the volume low, you can see the alert. It holds a decent charge. My only reaspon for not giving 5 stars is that once you have it charged and use it, when it dies from low charge power, you cannot plug it in to continue to use it, you have to plug it in to charge before you can turn it back on. As long as you use it plugged in for the majority of the time and don't rely on using the charged power, this is a great monitor.

    What can I say.... AWESOME!

    I bought this model when I had my first in Feb. of 2011. I am now expecting baby #2 any day now and it is still going strong :) I haven't had to replace the batteries in it as of yet and it has received daily usage. The range on this monitor is AMAZING. I can go outside while baby is napping and hang up some clothes on the line and be able to hear her crystal clear. My husband and I couldn't be happier with this monitor. I have had to re-pair the parent units to the nursery units a couple times, but that's really the only issue I have had with them. Hope this helps!

    Love it!!

    I have a 4 month old, grandson (1st time)..... also, I don't wrote reviews (1st time w/ this, too) & I've already went through ATLEAST 7 monitors..... then I found this one!! It's A LOT of monitor, for a FRACTION of what I've paid for "top of the line" brands/models! For soon-to-be-moms, or new mommies/daddies/"Grammies (like myself)....PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION: getting a good.... NO, GREAT..... baby monitor is all too often overlooked b4 baby gets here!! Don't make this mistake! Save time (& money) by getting a good one!! Save the box (& RECEIPT), test it out .... EVEN IF IT'S NOT THIS ONE.... & do it b4 baby gets here!!! Good luck & thanks y'all!!

    Battery life is terrible

    We've used this monitor for a year now. The low battery signal starts to go off after about 4 hours of use. This means that you are woken up by it if you try to use the monitor overnight. The only solution to the issue is to keep the "overnight" monitor charging while you sleep. I tried to just let the monitor completely die and after a few hours of beeping I gave up and just charged the stupid thing. It will also beep if it looses the signal. Which is good but I don't know how not to make this happen. Will buy a new monitor for our next child.

    Worst Baby Monitor in Existence

    We bought this monitor a couple weeks before our baby was born. The quality of the sound was way below what I have had with previous monitors. I was semi-disappointed with it almost immediately, but we needed a monitor and kept it. When my daughter was about 7 months old, one of the parent units just suddenly stopped working. My daughter is now 10 months old and the other parent unit has stopped working! So, now we have a useless piece of garbage and no monitor in our huge house to keep an ear out for our daughter. The last one we got for our son is still going strong after 3 years and we will be using it. Whatever you do, don't buy Graco! The other one we have is a different brand and we'll definitely buy another one!

    Large home and no loss in reception!

    We own a 3000+ sq ft house and are able to use these monitors throughout our home without any loss of reception. I can go out in our back yard all the way to the back fence (about 20-30ft from the house) and not lose reception (though our son's room is on the backside of the house#. Though, if I walk to the mailbox directly across the street, I lose reception right when I step off of our driveway #but keep in mind that our son's bedroom is on the backside of the house, if it were in the front, I doubt there'd be any problem#. Our home is quad-level with a main level, an upstairs #where our son's room is located#, a basement with garage #I get reception in our garage#, and a sub-basement and I am able to get reception even in our sub-basemen...

    Bad Product

    Got this two months before our little one was born tested it and worked great. Throw out the box and now the baby is here one of the parent unit does not work at all and the other has to be pluged in for it to work. That makes it very had to do anything when you have to keep unpluging and repluging it in where ever you go. And it is not loud at all. Do not buy this product not good at all.

    Reliable, great sound quality

    I've been using these monitors for almost 3 years now. I can hear my kids breathing if I turn it up and really listen. The sound quality is great. I live in a fairly dense city environment (old brick rowhomes) and interference has rarely been a problem - easily solved by switching channels. I have 2 kids now and use 2 of these monitors at naptime - they do not interfere with each other in the slightest. My first monitor "went berserk" about 3-4 months after we started using it - just started beeping and flashing at random times, at full volume, for no apparent reason. Called Graco and they sent me a brand new replacement. That replacement has never given me any trouble, nor has the 2nd monitor we bought 16 months ago for our 2nd child. The ...

    Three years of nightly use!

    For the price, I was happy to get a solid three years out of this monitor. It even fell to the bottom of a lake and (after taking apart and drying) survived! At the end of it's life, the monitor would no longer charge. I've got a video one now, and I do prefer it, especially since I can talk back through it to my son.

    Not Impressed

    We bought these with our first child and they worked great for about 6 months. They then would not work at all with sound and would only vibrate. We read the entire manual and tried to fix them as well as called the company with no answers as to why they no longer worked. We ended up throwing them away and now with our second child have bought a different Graco set and have liked them so far. We have liked every Graco item we have ever purchased with the exception of this one item.

    So happy with the secure coverage of this monitor!

    We have had this secure coverage digital monitor with two parent units since our firstborn daughter was born in 2007! We haven't had any problems with interference since the first day we received this monitor and used it! We are very happy with the two parent units in our two story home! We keep one unit in our bedroom and one unit in the basement! I would HIGHLY recommend this unit to any new parents in need of a safe and secure monitor that will help you rest safe and sound, as well as your children!:)

    Bad Monitor

    I got this as a second unit to have a monitor in both my children's rooms so I could hear them. It worked good for about a year and then it started making a cracking noise like it was shorting out then it would just shut off. I have kept it stationary by my bed plugged in and now it won't work at all it has a green light on the side that it has power but the front light is red and acts like there is no signal and will beep every minute or two. I have had another monitor in my other child's room for 6 years it has worked great. I wish I could buy one of those again.
