I am always skeptical when buying a new cleaning product. I usually find that I am disappointed and rarely use the product after the first few times. I hate cleaning, and have hardwood throughout my house with linoleum in my kitchen (for now). When I cleaned the floors before, it was a 4 hour process (at least) for just the kitchen and living room areas. I would sweep, vacuum, mop, steam mop, and then vacuum again. The first time I used this on the hardwood, I took it very slow making sure to scrub every inch carefully. I was instantly amazed about how well it cleaned everything and how dirty my floors were after all that work a few days before. The next day, I repeated the process, but used it less meticulously. Disappointing

I just received my hoover and washed one floor and it already stopped working!!!! I read the book and did all the troubleshooting and it wont even turn on. I had to wait two weeks to get it and now i cant even use it. I am very disappointed. I have no choice but to get a refund. And ponder whether to reorder.

    good floor cleaner

    I thought that the Hoover FloorMate would be magical. That it would clean everything from the floor and make my life so much easier. Unfortunately, that hasn't completely been the case. I have to go over things a few times before it is cleaned to my liking. I give it three stars because I like how the floor looks after I clean it. But the drying feature took a long time to reach its full effect.

    We bought an older model at an auction and my wife like it better than the Shark. It quick working so for a present i bought her a new one. It Vacuums up dust and small dirt but not the larger stuff. The brushes don't clean the tough spots but does clean the lighter spots. The dry cycle works well sucking up the wet stuff. I scrubbed the floor well by hand and after a month it has kept the floor clean. Over all it has done well but not as tough as I had hoped for.

    So far so good

    Used once and it did what it said it would... clean the floors. The only issue I have is with the dry option, it doesn't dry very well but it does pick up some of the remaining water which is better than using a mop and a bucket so the dry time is much less.

    I took a chance and ordered the Hoover Floormate online and had it sent to my local Walmart. I love Walmart and shop there weekly. Picking up the item at Walmart was smooth going and I would do it again. However, upon putting the Floormate together it failed from the the start. You had to keep your finger on the "start" button because if you let go, it would stop. The liquid would not dispense onto the floor. After many attempts, because I really wanted it to work, and after sweating bullets, I just gave up. I was so disappointed because Hoover is a great brand name.

    Great for cleaning tile floors

    My home is all porcelan tile floors. This hard floor cleaning machine is the answer to keeping tile floors clean. I use it once a week and vacuum in between. It is so much easier than mopping. It is easy to use and I really feel like my floors are clean after using it.

    My house has vinyl flooring though out and I would mop the floor and it would be an all day job. Having to move furniture to do a good job then sweep it and mop it then wait to dry and move that furniture back then do the other side of the room. Now I can sweep, mop and dry and put the furniture back, takes about 1/3 of the time that is used to take. Thank you, Hoover!

    It's good but

    I thought this product would finally be the all in one machine I need for a large household with a lot of hard floors. As far as the vacuum, it's eh...ok. It doesn't seem to have enough suction power to pick up all the floor debris. But the washing part of the cleaner is great. I love the drying feature and it cleans pretty well. One of my biggest issues is my kitchen floor which is ceramic tile, full of crevices. I've used the vacuum a few times on it now and it's actually beginning to look better. I will probably still need some kind of professional to get it sparkling but I liked what I got. I think Hoover should have left it at a washing vacuum, that's the best part. Overall it is easy to use and empty.

    Got it & was using it the same night. Cleaned tile floor & hardwood floors. No scratching. Vacuumed first with same machine then washed & sucked up water for faster drying. Tanks are easy to remove empty & replace. Clean water tank has built in measuring cup. Would recommend this for people that can't get on knees to wash floor. Light weight, easy to move.

    I was disappointed in this floor cleaner, mostly on the drying part. I have 2 small dogs and thought this would really dry the floor so they could walk on it without leaving paw prints. All it does is try to suck up the water, and that part failed. It did not dry the floor at all.

    I can pretty much do everything at one time. I vacuum a 6ft area, wash it and dry it then move on to the next 6ft. area. cuts my cleaning time in half and as soon as i'm through my floor is dry enough to walk on. Most of my house is ceramic tile and I'm handicapped and ws always so hard to sweep and mop. This product is perfect for me. Love it.

    Excellent product. The unit scrubs and removes dirt much better than a sponge mop and the drying is fantastic. What's really great is that it first vacs the floor removing all dirt particles, then scrubs, and then dries the floor. We will buy one for every home.

    Love this FloorMate!

    I have textured tile throughout my home and dirt was settling in the grooves. I ordered the FloorMate and after the first use, my floors look like new! I love this cleaner and would definately recommend it. This is my second one, the first was not broken but, I wanted to make sure I had one working at all times.
