TL;DR: True to size, comfortable right away, and look great. These shoes were a win right out of the box. The fit is true to size and they went on easily without any fuss. Great kids shoes for a great price! They have a thick sole and the upper material is soft and stretchy. They do have shoelaces and don't just slip on so make sure you're prepared to be tying and relying if you have a little one or make sure your big kid can tie their shoelaces. Good shoes though and my son loves the look and feel of them!
