it's been hanging for 4 months now and still looks new and hasn't loosened up. wanted a hammock that wouldn't get dirty and old looking, and this works better than the fabric type bc leaves etc don't gather on it as easily and the fabric seems to hold up well. still not sinking to the ground like some others. good purchase!
